We baby boomers will simply switch operating systems and software to ones that are the most robust and easiest to use. I represent the leading-edge of baby boomers and I submit to you that consumer support for Microsoft will dwindle as we baby boomers retire. However, I no longer am a strong supporter of Microsoft now that I must provide my own IT support since there is no customer service/tech service from Microsoft for individual consumers. My strong support was based on the fact that Microsoft offered products that improve productivity of my employees without requiring significant additional training for a variety of different operating systems and office based software.

I am a retired senior that was a strong supporter of Microsoft when I worked for a large company that had an excellent IT staff. Lastly, I'd like to make some editorial comments to the Microsoft employees that monitor this forum and the customer postings on this forum. This took approximately 2 hours so unfortunately you will need to be patient if you run into this problem. Therefore, I had to continue syncing to identify individual calendar entries and then remove each individual calendar entry. Additionally, not all of the reoccurring calendar entries were removed when I chose "delete all". I had to switch from erasing these recurring calendar entries on both my new PC as well as my Smartphone. My errors were due to "re-occurring calendar entries" which were entered on my XP Pro 32-bit PC & ActiveSync 4.5 and were simply incompatible with Win7 64-bit. The Sync Center will automatically load and will sync yourĪdditionally, you may find the sync was unsuccessful and will report errors in the sync. Win7 will automatically detect your Smartphone and willĪutomatically install the WMDC drivers. This can beĪccomplished through the following: /Main Menu/Settings/Connections/USB to PC/uncheck "Enableģ) Perform a "hard shutdown" of your Smartphone by removing the battery from your Smartphone.Ĥ) Remove the memory card from your Smartphone.ĥ) Connect your Smartphone to your Win7 PC. I suggest the following for you to consider:ġ) Uninstall WMDC & uninstall WMDC drivers (Win7 has WMDC already).Ģ) Uncheck "Enable advanced network functionality" on your WinMo Smartphone device.

I admit that I do not know which of the following solutions will work for you however, they appear to have worked for my issues as well as others on this forum. This long post is intended to help others experiencing syncing issues with Win7 with a variety of potential solutions. My previous PC was an XP Pro 32-bit and I synced via ActiveSync 4.5 with virtually no problems. I am now on my third series of solutions for syncing my Smartphone with Win7. First, I would like to thank this forum for identifying a variety of solutions to my problems with my new Win7 64-bit PC and my Samsung OMNIA Smartphone.
